This new build house is being designed with Ström Architects with Jensen Hunt Design providing the structural and civil engineering design. Located in the Essex countryside, this family home is based on a pin-wheel design with four single storey pavilions connected at central double height core.

 

The structural design uses a combination of steel framing and load bearing cavity walls with cantilevered canopies overlooking the landscaped gardens and parkland. Other features include an external swimming pool, sunken courtyard garden and the use of sustainable technologies such as ground source heat pumps and green roofs.
