Jensen Hunt Design worked closely with artists Numen/For Use to deliver an immersive art installation suspended from the original steel trusses in the listed building. The installation ran for 4 days to launch Anya Hindmarch’s new woven tote bag for London Fashion Week 2019, and was attended by 4100 visitors.

Jensen Hunt undertook a detailed survey and appraisal of the existing structure, setting out design loading parameters that informed the configuration of the final artwork.

It took an onsite team of 56 people, 3000m of rope, 11,000m2 of blue netting and a 6 day build to form ‘The Tube’ that visitors climbed through.

Jensen Hunt Design provided the structural engineering for ‘Rush’ a new sensory installation designed by @lyn_atelier in Greenwich North Peninsula.

We worked closely with the Architects and Knight Dragon to achieve a creative structural solution. Reinforcement mesh was used to create a fixing grid supported on a grillage of scaffold tubes and trusses.

Individual bamboos of varied lengths were then suspended from this grid. This innovative solution provided flexibility in the bamboo fixing pattern and reduced the cost to the client by negating the requirement for proprietary rigging structure.

In keeping with the sustainable approach to the project, the structure can be dismantled and reused
in the future.
